The Perfect Vacation For Me

The perfect vacation in my mind – Imagine a small stream leading in to a broad and beautiful river. Along this riverbank is the natural forest surrounding you with big trees and large rocks, it is the most natural scene you have ever seen. In the distance you hear the birds and the sounds of the forest. You turn to see a doe and her baby leaning in to the stream and drinking gently. What a tranquil sight, you are as calm as you could possibly be.

After walking for just a few minutes you come across an authentic log cabin with the most adorable little porch, it even had a porch swing with an umbrella type mechanism above it. You call out to see if there is anyone here, but it seems as if the area is all yours, in fact everything is even decorated in your style and you feel at home right away. Walking around the cabin you find that there is a fully stocked kitchen, a comfy living room with soft couches and a huge fireplace, there is also a beautiful bathroom with a whirlpool tub – not everything has to be old fashioned. There is a den with a bar along one wall which is built in, surrounding the bar are old wooden signs some are beer signs, some are alumni, and some have sayings like the old lake house sign. There is even a wood propeller mounted on the wall above the television. This room is absolutely perfect for get togethers, but you are all alone. The bedroom was huge, decorated in soft fabrics and natural wood pieces. It has its own bathroom with a dressing table and a heart shaped tub.

When you walk back to the front door you see a figure walking towards you, but cannot make out who it is at first because the sun is behind him. Slowly he walks towards you and you see that it is the love of your life coming to spend 2 quiet weeks in this unbelievable place with just you. You are happier than you have ever been and make those 2 weeks last as long as they can enjoying every moment.

Who would want to come back from that? Not I.
