Marketing Your Merchandise and Website When On A Strict Budget
Posted April 30, 2009 – 6:15 pm in: BusinessHave you checked out these new websites that allow you to sell your design or logo on a ton of different merchandise? You do not need to hold on to stock or make things that may never sell. Instead you upload your graphic or logo, or you can create them right on the site, then pick the merchandise you want to offer, next set up your virtual store and let it take off. You will have to market your products, but that can be simple enough.
1. Sell greek t-shirts to college students in sororities and fraternities. You can contact different universities and even offer college tee shirts with their mascot or other marking. These kids are often very territorial and will generally love products with their school logos; this can be a gold mine if done properly.
2. Offer companies/businesses their logo on merchandise that they can give away to potential clients and their support staff as incentives or welcome gifts. I worked for one company that greeted each new employee with his own coffee cup and other such little gifts on their first morning. This always made the new person feel welcomed and lead to a much greater retention rate. This particular company had a way of making you stay for a very long time just because they took the time to care about each individual.
3. Try starting your own website and direct the traffic to the host site when your customers wish to make a purchase. You will need to enhance your SEO standing constantly in order to get a continued flow of business. This is not easy but certainly doable.
Whichever method you choose will be a good deal of work, but like any new business it is only worth what you put into it and it takes a long time before you can stand back and let others do all of the work for you.
