Current State of Economy Leads To Bank Violence

Posted May 1, 2009 – 12:53 am in: Real Estate

It has become apparent that we are truly experiencing a recession and it is showing signs of a depression. Around the country people are being laid off or let go everyday, small companies and large corporations are all shedding anyone they can and trying to run companies with the bare minimum staff. Customer Service people are doing Sales while they help in IT while they help in …… and so on and so fourth until no one knows what they are doing and nothing gets done. I’m not sure how that will help the economy, but it seems to be the big plan among most surviving companies.

This job and of course, money shortage has led to the highest number of foreclosures ever recorded. When we cannot afford to pay the mortgage the bank comes and takes it as per your deal. Some people cannot handle this and there has actually been a surge in bank violence in the recent months across the country.

In Arkansas last June - an elderly woman attacked her loan officer from across the desk when he told her that her taxes had gone up and was the reason for the higher payments. The woman was not arrested, but was asked to do her banking over the phone.

In Conneticut last November an honest working man was arrested after using a fake gun to “try” to hold up a teller. The teller hit her button while talking to the man, the police arrived very quickly and took the man down before anyone could be hurt. The surprise? It was a bad toy gun at that.

In louisville kentucky mortgage brokers were held hostage by a man claimimg that he would blow up the whole building if they attempted to leave their seats. All other offices were cleared out by police, but the mortgage office had to stay put for 6 hours before mediation’s were successful and the man surrendered. There was no actual bomb found on the premises, but police did find plans in the mans home. The louisville ky home mortgage brokers association released a statement saying they did not know this man or why he held them, but he does not hold an account with them.

Money or a lack of money can do crazy things and people just do not know what to do as they watch everything they worked for disappear before their eyes.

Security Guard Obligations

The methodology that many security firms and security departments practice is a “detect, deter, observe and report” system. Fair Oaks CA unarmed security guard are not required to make arrests but have the authority to make a citizen’s arrest or act as an agent of law enforcement at the request of a law enforcement officer. However, the primary duty of a private California unarmed security officer is the prevention and deterrence of crime. The security personnel enforce company rules and act to protect the lives and property of the company. A security force is usually under a contract to provide these actions.

No Vacancies

The success Orange County CA house property management company is based on their “Proprietary Marketing Program” and tenant screening which is second to none. It is time tested and has been proven successful year after year. They have some of the shortest vacancy periods and attract the most qualified tenants in the marketplace. Other Orange County CA property management companies may present a “cheaper” fee structure but is it really cheaper when you factor in the revenue lost due to long periods of vacancy? It is not uncommon to see a “For Rent” sign placed in the front yard and a free ad on Craigslist as the only methods of advertising.
